Title: Silver Enfields
Post by: deejay on July 25, 2007, 10:00:20 pm
I noticed in one of the modification pics of a silver enfield, that there was a lot of staining around the speedometer rubber gasket. I remember seeing this on another silver enfield in person. Is this a common occurrence with the silver bikes? Looks to me like the rubber is staining the paint.

We have seen a few bikes doing this over the years. It seemed to crop up mostly on White bikes. It was never a consistant problem. The factory changed the rubber formulation to prevent this.

That was probably mine.  It has been like that since I bought it and never gotten any worse.  I tell people that it is custom paint job.
