Yes, apparently released yesterday, and isn't that just about exactly the number you were predicting?
      $4399 for the Fireballs  ( vs. the equivalent of around $2500 in Mumbai.)
      $4499 for the Stellars
      $4599 for the Supernovas
https://www.royalenfield.com/us/en/motorcycles/meteor/
https://www.roadracingworld.com/news/royal-enfield-meteor-350-arrives-in-dealerships-in-may/

To me, this doesn't seem like enough of a margin against the Honda Rebel 300's $4599 MSRP, although if somebody was fond of ABS, the additional cost of $300 on the Honda might sway them a bit towards getting standard ABS with the Meteor.

What do you think he means about "all three colors"?  There are 7 colors showing on the website.

I received the same email as AC and there is no further description however Chicago Motoworks website shows both colors of the Fireball. Perhaps they meant all 3 models. I'd be interested in looking at one to see how the bike sits, feels, etc. I told my dealer to schedule the brake recall for my INT 650 at end of May or later so perhaps he will have a Meteor in-stock then.  :)

If the Honda 350 H'ness shows up on these shores it'll be really interesting to see where Meteor pricing goes. The 350 Meteor appeals to a different segment than the 300 Rebel, I think. The Rebel has a spunkier engine and a 6 speed box, but looks rather "metal head" in style compared to the traditionally styled Meteor.

It looks like the H'Ness has gotten no further than Pakistan, thus far.  Honda could likely anticipate better tariff parity against Royal Enfield by selling to the US, than they do competing in India, but I don't see them pushing for a share of what I think will be a very small segment of pie.

I don't think that Benelli even offers their Imperiale 400 in the US, although apparently they sell those in the UK, for around the equivalent of $4200.  What Benelli does sell in the US however, is the TNT 300:  http://benelli.ssrmotorsports.com/bikes/tnt300.php   Looks kinda metal head, and with an MSRP of $3999.

At least Chicago Motoworks isn't claiming that these are in stock, like they were doing with the 500 they had on their website last summer.  https://www.cycletrader.com/listing/2021-Royal-Enfield-Meteor-350-5014672174   They call it, "the perfect starter bike".

The trouble with the market segment that prefers classic styling, in my opinion, is that we tend to be older guys, able to afford what we want, or able to get and keep a real original classic machine running, or both.  If I had $4500, plus dealer fees and extras, to spend on a machine, and wanted a nice classic bike, that I could ride anywhere, I'd go spend it on this guys 2nd hand, 2000 Kawa W650, with less than 300 miles on the clock, and perfect cosmetics.   https://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/mcy/d/geneva-2000-kawasaki-w650/7299900679.html    Now that's classic styling, plus it's entering its value appreciation phase.

Axman88 - I reluctantly have to agree. Maybe the "I got the checkbook, I'll decide what you ride around campus and it ain't a Ninja" syndrome will help sales. There will be the old skool traditionalists that get a pair for the motorhome & Sunday jaunts. If I was RE I'd sponsor a contest of some sort to boost recognition. Maybe a "City to City" rally.

That Benelli 300 twin looks more comfortable than the Ninja and has to be reasonably quick. a pair of 61mm x 43mm B/S cylinders just says " I gots me a sky high rev limit". Growing up on smaller machines, I'm not put off by high RPM. It looks like a real nice piece of kit to me.

But as you say, if you aren't mechanically declined, $4500 will put you onto some VERY NICE used hardware.

I was glad to see the Meteor having a 3.97 Gal fuel capacity but I’m surprised to see the wet 421 LB curb weigh. For some reason I was expecting it to be lighter. My 2010 Bullet 500 G5 UCI EFI is only 412 LB and my 2007 Bullet 500 AVL is 370 LB. Both bikes having a little more HP and about 50% more torque.

My buddy has one on order but I’m going to wait for RE to come out with a 500 version before I buy one.
REs I currently own:
2007 AVL Bullet Electra Gray
2010 Bullet G5 Deluxe Black
2017 535 GT Continental Red
2018 Himalayan White
2018 Pegasus Green
2024 650 Super Meteor Celestial Blue

I have weighed my 2011 Bullet and it weighs 218 pounds. likely the additional 6 pounds compared with your G5 is the result of the sofa seat.  ;)

I am surprised to hear that the Meteor has almost a 4 gallon fuel tank. I thought I had read that it was just slightly above 3 gallons.  ???  Having a 4 gallon tank in the U.S. is much appreciated considering some of our wide open spaces where gas stations can be few and far between.

A seller, "alpha-cars" in Boxborough, Mass. has some Meteors up for sale on Ebay at "Buy-it-now", pricing of $4399, (or Best Offer) and Local Pickup,  https://www.ebay.com/str/alphacarsandmotorcycles?_trksid=p2047675.l2563   Also offering a few Stellars and a Supernova.

I wonder if these are actually available such that if somebody paid in full immediately, and asked to pick up the day after tomorrow, they could ride home on their new RE, or would start hearing "explanations"?  I also wonder if this actually means that one can avoid the usual dealer fees, or they have some way of sticking you with those?

Nice, can't wait to sit on one of these at my local dealer and check it out.  May have to grab one for the wife down the road if i can get her to go take the course and get her license.

My only concern with the price-point is....it's so close to the 650's, which are so much more bike.  Who in their right mind wouldn't pinch pennies for the extra $1,200 to get a INT/CONT 650?

The price difference, even from this dealer, is a bit more than you suggest.  On further inspection, I see that this Ebay seller does explicitly state their dealer charges, which are modest compared to what some folks in the forum have been quoted.

For the Meteor base models, AlphaCars' ad lists:
$ 4,399 MSRP*
$ ...350 Destination
$ ...199 Assy & Setup
----------
$ 4,948 Retail Price, 2021 Royal Enfield Meteor Fireball Yellow

For the base Interceptor:
$5,799 MSRP
$ 199 Assembly & Setup
$ 350 Destination Fee
----------
$6,348 Retail Price  2021 Royal Enfield Interceptor INT650 Orange Crush

So, $1400 price difference.  But, your point is still quite valid, and I, personally would cough up the extra $$ for the upgrade, except I'd probably go for a Himalayan.

This is, incidentally, a very good price for a new INT650, in my opinion.  Seems like most folks buying last summer were quoting out the door prices more in the $6800 - 7K range.

I hope California shops will be adding on dealer setup and transportation charges to the MSRP that will be lower than the $500 and $750 respectively that I was charged for the same fees when I bought my KTM 390 Duke at the Royal Enfield/KTM dealer in San Francisco.  :(
