Title: UCE clutch cable length.
Post by: Ragmas on January 24, 2014, 12:30:27 am
Does anybody know it off the top of their heads?  I would measure mine but it is no where near me right now.

Also, if known, what diameter and thread pitch is it on the the threaded portion of the clutch cable as well?

Thanks,

Samgar

The spare that came with my 2011 G5 measures 41 9/16 inches (41.562") (1,055.68mm) from the end of the metal part at the clutch end to the end of the treads on the engine end.

The inner cable measures 43 3/8 (43.375") (1,101.73mm) from the center of the round body that fits into the clutch lever to the shoulder in the small button that rests against the engine clutch lever yoke swivel.

The small button on the engine end is about .40" (10mm) long.  The smaller diameter that fits thru the yoke is .153 inches (3.89mm), the larger diameter is .240 (6.1 mm) inches.

The clutch end is inside a plastic sleeve that measures .344  inches (8.74mm) diameter and is .390 inches  (9.9mm) long.

The thread is a M8 X 1.25mm.
