Title: Old Style Rear Tail Light and Number Plate
Post by: abe on April 15, 2008, 04:28:13 am
Got an old style tail light set up and noted that there are only two wires coming out of it.  the stock one has 3.  I think the 3rd wire is a ground, should I ground the existing wire to the rear fender somewhere?

Any advice would be great!

Thanks,
abe... :)

What year do you have? My '99 has a stock tail light that has just two wires and the tailight body is grounded to the fender.

Your best course of action would be to get a volt meter and test each wire for voltage.  Generally the black wire is the ground wire.
