Or would calling it Electra confuse?

Yes please! I love the idea of an electric bike, but so far all the ones on the market just don't have the look I'm after. If RE could keep the same Bullet aesthetic in an electric version... I'm all in.

I was looking at a scooter but in the end plumped for an electric bike to use around town and for the 6 mile trip into work. Takes me around 25 mins and I don't arrive sweaty and knackered plus it conquers the steep hills with ease.
Add the practical pannier bags and I'm good.
I'd imagine that an electric RE would be cheaper than what's out there at the moment as long as the motor and batteries were of a good quality I think it may do well. Possibly.
Can always add a playing card to the swingarm for some motorcycle sound :D

electric bikes should be around us now because the whole world is needed.

But how do you get anyone to buy them? ::)

I dunno...I can think of several places we could do without.

I thought my original post featured the guy in the link below. Turns out it wasn't.

Anyway, you can now get the kit to do it yourself for a cool 5000 GBP ;D

Thanks for that link, I'll study it properly when I have a bit more time.

None of them are what I'd call pretty, but that one without the fuel tank really doesn't look right.
Here's another one, same 5K (but US dollars) outlay: https://electriccycle.wordpress.com/ (https://electriccycle.wordpress.com/)

With a range of 44 miles per charge (Less if traveling over 55mph) and a charge time if 8 hours, I don't think it is very practical with a $5000 price tag.
