It is pretty much accepted that the electrical system, the wires and connectors are the weakest parts of RE. Today, the RE logo light - right below the Low Fuel Light - was not coming on. I thought that the bulb is dead. I looked at the socket, one of the wires was barely attached to the socket by a couple of naked wire strands. As I used a nose plier to carefully pull out the socket to take out bulb, the wire completely broke !
Well the bulb was all black - its filament was also gone. I need a new bulb. It is a bayonet type small bulb.
I covered the naked end of wire with tape to prevent any short circuit. I am not sure what is the best way to connect the wire to socket since there is nothing to attach it to.

The blue wires position leads me to believe it is the power supply for the bulb.
The loose wire looks like the ground wire which could be soldered directly to the metal bulb case?

Singh Ji,
Just purchase one BA7 (not BA9S) red LED for that one (It has one emitting diode as compared to 4 you have for the pilot, indicator/high-beam) . I have it and it complements the other LEDs as well.
