Does anyone out there know if the saddlebag/pannier supports for the Super Meteor will fit on a Shotgun? And if not, are there any available for it yet?

Good question. I like the look of the Shotgun - much more than the Super Meteor, but like you, if I were to "upgrade" I would want all the rack capacity that I now have on my 350. I still think I could make it look sharp.

I'd probably bet on the Indian after-market to provide. I have side and back racks from Indian retailers - just have to touch up the paint - or have them powder coated if you live in wetter climates.

We are totally on the same page 😊👍 I'm actually going to test ride a Shotgun this Friday (hopefully, that's the plan anyway) at a demo event Royal Enfield is having at our local dealer, where I bought my Meteor. Honestly, I hope it don't like it more than my current bike lol. It's more expensive, and I don't think my wife is too keen on the idea of me trading in so soon. But at this point, even if I did like it more, I just can't see myself trading until there are decent accessories available. I use mine for commuting, need to be able to haul my laptop bag, and for trips to the store, etc. I know you use yours for adventures and have the same need for decent cargo capacity.

I will ask some of the RE folks at the demo about that and report back here.

So I got in touch with someone at Baxter Cycles, and they confirmed that these pannier rails for a Super Meteor 650 will work on a Shotgun 650.

https://www.baxtercycle.com/product/pannier-rails-black-pair-super-meteor-650/

I'm guessing these might not be heavy duty enough for your needs. But I think they will work for me - if we ever actually GET any Shotguns in AZ lol.

The Givi bag support I got are great.

Bags come off and back on again with the turn of a key and the lockable security is nice when away from home !
