Where does one get the EBC HH sintered pads?  I'd like to grab a set front and rear before trying anything more drastic.

Easy to find.. eBay, Amazon, local motorcyle parts store...  One sec,  let me get you a link

And that link will fit front and rear RE 650?  So you'd need two sets (4 pads) then?

No. Different pads front / rear

Break Pads

Front Pads Options:
Brembo part no. 07BB03SA or EBC Front Brake Pads FA209/2HH

Rear Pads Options:
EBC Rear Brake Pads FA213HH - https://www.amazon.com/EBC-Brakes-FA-213HH-Sintered/dp/B006B27UGI/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=FA213HH&qid=1631806311&sr=8-1

EBC - HH pads front and rear are a huge improvement over the factory pads.  I no longer recall the OEM compound but IIRC it was FF and GF - no wonder they are sadly lacking.
I read that the compounds have changed since my 2020 model, but no idea if this is true, or what they changed to
No idea of a US source as I bought mine in Bangkok - check Fleabay

The second 350.00 USD incremental step in brake improvement is the master cylinder, and if you are going to get more drastic, then this is required anyway.  Brembo RCS 15 is a good match to the stock calliper, and OK for the P4 32/32 4 piston should you get drastic
Make sure to get a reservoir, and you will need a new mirror clamp with boss.  Bermbo does not make one to fit our fat mirror stem, so a cheap Chinese one is doing the trick for now

Updates?  Or project on hold?

I proved the concept and test fitted to my bike:
Brembo 330mm OD floating rotor
Brembo P4 calliper - 32/34 and the far superior 4 pad, 34/34 piston models are externally the same for our purposes
Brembo RCS 15 master cylinder
Custom 7mm rotor spacer
Custom ABS sensor mount
Custom calliper bracket

I then removed it to make the calliper bracket, and got sidetracked on my sidecar project and just finished - pic attached

Sidecars typically require more trail than a solo bike, and one way of doing this is with different yokes.  The other way of fitting a 4 pot calliper is also wider yokes.  I am now trying to decide if I will make offset yokes with more trail for the sidecar, and at the same time make them 15mm wider for the 4 pot calliper.  I will ride the sidecar outfit a bit before making this decision.

For the solo bike rider, without a machine shop or willing to pay commercial machine shop rates, wider yokes then would then be a bolt on mod well within the capabilities of the mechanically inclined rider - yokes are not cheap however.  OTOH, I might be able to reduce the machine work in the stock yoke method, and need to think about mounting the ABS sensor on the calliper bracket for a simple bolt on big brake kit that will not break your wallet
I might get to that in the next week or two

Note the 2HH in the EBC front pad number.  Apparently a no 2 part number IE FA209-HH is a scooter pad - not sure of the difference, but I bought the bike one

Excellent! Are you the man who makes the triple trees or someone else, also from Riga ?
We would love to know more about the Berlinger calipers. 4 pot? Sourced from directly from France or are the used on another motorcycle? Please post more. Great work.

I forked out and bought a complete Beringer kit, front and rear. I tend to think that the front caliper mount is different. The only thing if you like the look of the original, then you can use Brembo from the BMW f series. Yes, a lot bike used the floating caliper. This is a design from the late 80's in the series.

I love it, once you address the suspension with some modern upgrades and fit sticky rubber it's almost unbeatable through the tight twisty stuff.
As a matter of fact just got home from a little 250km jaunt today.  ;D
