Looks like Jared may be throttling it up a bit around town...I was hoping more for at least 2K - 3K Km. with some road miles & oil changes. This kid's only doing 10 mile round trips to work - mebbe 7-12 minutes each way. Barely warmed up when she gets shut off.

22km/l is seriously disappointing fuel economy.

There's no Meteors on Fuelly yet, but there are 16 Classic 350s.  Those are getting an average of 85 mpg (36 km/l) over 43 thousand miles of real world travel.  https://www.fuelly.com/motorcycle/royal_enfield/classic_350
I consider Fuelly to be more reliable data than any single test and certainly better than manufacturers claims.

It would be a surprise indeed to find out that RE had reduced the fuel efficiency of their mainstay engine by 39% by going to OHC.  I suspect some sloppy record keeping.

I don't know what RE is claiming for the Meteor, but look what zigwheels said:

I wonder how many of the machines tested have even completed their break in?  Has the Meteor been assigned the same, (snails pace) factory break-in process as the UCEs?

Maybe Jarod has a powerful right wrist, or maybe one of the other staff members over at Auto-X has figured out how to ride on the sly, with with odo disconnected.  (Who hasn't done that, with a rental car, or drive-away, back in the day)  Or maybe a "22" slipped by the copywriter when "32" was intended.

Lots of folks are math challenged.  My buddy swears he got 27 mpg in his F150 one day.  This is why I like Fuelly, it does the calculatin' for you, regardless of your mood or the condition of your pencil point.

Well much depends on RPM speeed gears they probably did the tests under very cautious conditions.
