I'm removing the front chain case to drain the oil. When refilling with the fill hole, when it's full it runs slightly out of the small screw hole near the bottom of the outside cover? Or do I fill it to the fill hole?

Fill to the small screw. ERC

+1 It's about 1/3 qt

Thank you very much. It did not drop much oil. I was thinking it has more it in than that. I guess it's not a complete oil bath, but more of a splash type sump. Thanks, RV

Yeah it splashes more than it soaks, but it's more than enough. Also, not sure what you're using in there but ATF works quite well, Type F in particular.

Thanks. How do you count the chain link? Sounds like a dumb question I guess... I count 104. I'm at the end of my adjustment and want to order a new one.

If it's a 1956 20 tooth sprocket is 88 pitches, if it's 25 tooth it's 90 pitches. ERC

Thanks. I was counting the rollers.

I count the side plates starting with the master-link.
