My wife just gave me the green light to buy an RE. At this point the only question I have is whether to buy a Classic or an Electra. I'm gonna post this same question over on the Classic board to see what those guys have to say.
The question is, Given my riding style which is conservative but I do like to cruise country roads at 60 to 65 mph for hours - wheelies and stoppies aren't part of what I do - neither is much interstate riding, what would be the advantages, in your opinion, of an Electra over a Classic?.
I expect this is well plowed ground, but my search for this only gave me lots of scattered bits of information.
Thank you for your tolerance of a noobies ignorance.

Hmmm, I did find this thread in the FAQ's section. http://www.enfieldmotorcycles.com/forum/index.php/topic,394.0.html
Most of the answers I was looking for are in there. However, anything else anyone might care to offer opinion-wise would certainly be well received.

open two screens and view this http://www.enfieldmotorcycles.com/models/classic.html

I went with the Electra because of the front disc brake and the est. mpg's
mostly for the front disc as I've always been a front braker first

from a purely riders standpoint, the Electra is a more capable machine, but remember, the iron engined classics are soon to go the way of the dinosaur. That means the value will be going up. The few peoplle who get the last of them will count themselves lucky.
