Ordered a set of adjustable levers for the Shotgun through Hitchcocks (part # 92574R), cannot get the brake lever fitted. Has anyone here relpaced their stock levers? Hitchcocks says (and have emailed a video showing) that the lever slides in and lines up without effort, but I am having to force the lever into the housing and then unable to get the lever hole to line up with the housing hole to insert screw. Wondering what the chances are that I could have been sent the incorrect levers in the proper packaging, or even a lever that has a manufacturing flaw.

You are referring to a Shotgun? They come with adjustable levers already, so just wanted to confirm. Sounds to me like one of the two things you have suggested is probably true if you're doing everything correctly - either wrong items, or manufacturing defects. I would contact Hitchcock's and tell them what you're experiencing. They've always been very good about getting back to me with answers. Good luck, let us know what you find out!

I dropped my Shotgun at a stop (before taking the MSF course) and about an inch of the clutch lever broke off. It doesn't interfere with shifting gears, but because OEM replacements for the motorcycle aren't available I decided to try some aftermarket levers. I have been in contact with Hitchcocks, they have tested a brake lever on an SG650 and have sent one that was verified to fit. Not sure how common receiving a part with a maufacturing defect is...or there could be something awry with the lever housing. I will definitely update you guys on this.

Aha. It's interesting that it's the other side that's giving you the problem. I would maybe expect the clutch lever to, after what you mentioned. Have you been able to get it on?
