On his blog he mentioned the new departure date of 8-10-09. Eight days in the running, but has anyone heard or know what's happening? His blog remains the same.
-
In one of his last posts, Geoff mentioned that he was going to push back the departure date until maybe September.
There were some things he wanted to sort out first, which wouldn't be able to get done in time for the original estimated departure date.
-
I think he is currently aiming for leaving on the 20th of this month, although I'm sure it all depends on the bike.

I didn't know he had a blog. What trip is he taking? ???

He's attempting to go border to border (Mexico to Canada) on 10 gallons of biodiesel. Pretty cool! Here's his website:

It looks like his new departure date is actually August 23rd.

Eamon, After reading your post I went to his blog again, it still says 8-10 at the bottom. Where'd you get the 23rd? And If that critter hasn't left why is he not here?

He got disgusted with some of the Campfire Talk and left.
Again.
He'll probably be back after a while.
He needs to concentrate on getting the bike ready for the big run, anyway.

He updated the info under the "Trip" section. Scroll to the bottom. His route is listed there as well. I'm going to see about riding with him for part of the Washington stretch.

That's great Eamon. I envy that, if my time, and that sounds ridiculous since I'm retired, wasn't so limited lately, I would have liked to have done the same.
I've come to the conclusion that when young girls take their first step into puberty, along with the package of tampons their Mother gives them, is a list of 'Honey dos" to be used when the husband retires. Bummer!

I was wondering where he went. These days I only skim the Campfire Talk skipping anything political, so I missed that. I am sure he will be back.

It looks like Geoff is on the road. He is updating his blog. Hopefully we hear back from him after he is done.
