Just got home with my new 2022 GT and found what looks like a battery minder plug attached. This bike was just uncrated yesterday and the dealer said nothing about adding anything. Anyone have a clue?

I know it's hard to imagine such a thing but perhaps RE decided to splurge on those swanky new 2022 models. 8)  I know, I know, this addition might add $1.25 to the price of the bike but if ya buy one at Amazon it might be $7.

Perhaps it will give some folks cause for complaint if it's an inch too short.......

Your dealer was thoughtful enough to wire your bike up for a battery tender.

Standard equipment on all 2021 Meteor 350's. I was surprised to see it all nicely bundled and tucked under the side cover, when I went looking where they stored the tool kit. Long enough too, that I was able to route it through the frame to the other side of the bike, in order to have it hang on the left side, where my heated vest has its SAE connection. A few zip ties and Bob's your uncle.

I’m pretty sure if the dealer installed it they would have mentioned it to me.

My GT came with one. The dealer didnt mention it but he did say that earlier Hililayayans had lousy batteries and maybe RE is just tossing one of these in the crate.

Had one on my 2021 Interceptor. The dealer never mentioned it, what a surprise.

My 2019 Interceptor came with one, and the dealer mechanic pointed it out.  I believe at least one review mentioned that the 650s come with the connector.

And what is the purpose of a connector, if you don't have the right charger with it... :-\

I think the North American units came with a SAE connector and the other world came with nothing. Someone might know for sure,

all chargers I've purchased came with an SAE connector plus an extra SAE pigtail to install on you bike. My experience is limited to USA though. Maybe BMW still uses their connector though.
