I'm spending the weekend with my wife to celebrate her birthday, so I won't be there, but have a good time.  It's a wonderful day for it!

The ride to the brewery was slow and steady and the ales were consumed steadily as the place was teeming with people.  The weather was perfect.

I've put some pictures in the Ride Report section.

The ride to Red Hook Brewery was good fun with good friends, good times and good weather.  Royal Enfield people are good people.

Cheers,
Bill

The road to Neah Bay is full of twisties (Rte 112). For things to do there are hiking trails like the one to Cape Flattery, the westernmost point in the lower 48, vast beaches and the Makah Native American museum.

Camping is available at Hobuck campground. I am going to go out there, maybe this coming weekend, to scope it out, take pics, time the route, etc.). The next day would be a nice ride to say, Pacific Beach or the Quinault area. I was at Pacific Beach a couple of weeks ago and the campground did not seem crowded (but the weather is getting nicer now. There's also "rough" camping, or as we call it guerilla camping. Finding a clearing up a back road and dropping in for the night. Kinda like the old Cannonball days. I hear there's a way to ride the beach from somewhere south of Neah Bay to Taholah. I will look into this as well.

Adventure, anyone?

I hear there are cabins at Hobuck. I will check this out further. The campground supposedly has showers.

The Straits of Juan de Fuca. About 30 years ago I nearly died there when our little boat capsized. When the current and the tide run in the same direction the water is smooth. When the tide turns, look out! Be careful if you venture out on the water.

I recently moved into the realm of RE ownership(actually the bike owns me and I am just paying for the privilege of having its use).  I found this Washington state owners thread but I am in Moses Lake which makes my location a bit of travel to anywhere in the state. I don't get a lot of weekends off but on occasion I can work things out for a road trip.  If you guys have room for one more, I would like to throw in with you.

Welcome to the forum broeschi, congrats on your Bullet and welcome to the Washington bullet owners group.

We have a ride on the peninsula later this month, going to see the vintage trials and moto cross in Chehalis and ride the local area next month and then there is the fall  get together in Seattle in September.

You're invited  ;)

BTW, IIRC, Lady_Enfield, oldsalt and stoney1962 live on the dry side.

PM headed your way in shortly,

broeschi,

Welcome aboard the Washington State Royal Enfield owners stuff, there is always room for one more, and congratulations on your new Royal Enfield.  You're always invited to join in any time, for any thing.  Monitor this thread for details on upcoming stuff and or talk about anything you like.  Royal Enfield people are good people.

Cheers,
Bill

Thanks guys,
I bought used but I am happy with the decision. I will keep an eye on your activities.  I don't get many weekends free but on occasion I can arrange one.
