Title: Oil feed plug failure - 500ES Military
Post by: Trapper on August 18, 2007, 10:35:14 pm
Recently I was showing a fellow Bullet enthusiast the details of a Bullet oil change; particularly the need to inspect the oil feed plug bushing (quill plug). The oil feed plug came out in two pieces - the threaded plug and the tube; actually, I had to fish the tube out of the quill bushing with a small allen type wrench.

The engine had not seized. I really don't know why.

The question I have for the group is - Has anyone else had this experience?

I don't think we have ever sold one of these before, I may be mistaken but I do look at all warranty claims. The Enfield needs very little oil to survive. We had a guy go 300 miles without any oil at all, (I don't reccomend it)
