I asked the same question awhile back, it met with general malaise. Suggestions ranged from "how about a dislike button" to the old standby of add a +1. to someone's post. Larger sites have it and it is very popular, I think we will soldier on here without it. Probably a budget or tech issue for a small site like this.

It might depend on the forum software, of course. The MBR forum over in the UK has a like button but not a dislike button.
