I have made the first mod on my Himalayan  ;D

I have replaced the genuine headlight with a full LED headlight.
I went for a HIGHSIDER MODEL 3.

The arguments for my own justification ( ;D) were
+ You are better seen
+ You can see better yourself
+ less power consumption, thus more reserve for other electricity consumers
+ it looks cool

- On the downside there are only the costs, in Germany you have to use certified equipment, means these parts are expensive, about 270.- Euro including shipping costs.

Exchange was easy, main light Plug and Play, parking light just soldering of two wires. It fits fairly well in the existing lamp case.

LED: Low beam takes only 17 Watt @ 1130 Lumen, High beam is 30 Watt @ 1770 Lumen.
H4: 55/ 60 Watt, Low beam 800 Lumen, High beam 1200 Lumen.

I like the result, beautiful white light now, see the pictures, showing low beam under otherwise same conditions

Best regards
Toni

Yeah, I am very happy with.

It is far brighter then the original one.

And it gives me, due to the little power consumption, a lot of power reserve for my other gear, especially the heated grips 😀

The next mod will be LED direction indicators...

Toni

Should also be a bit more vibration resistant too. Good Fix!

Yes, I hope so, important with the shaky Himi.... ;D

Lukily:
In Germany this LED-Model comes with a two year warranty.
The dealer I bought it from told me, that he sells it already since three years and didn’t had any quality issues so far....
