Title: Need to Rent an Enfield in New Mexico for a Film (Feb-Mar 2013)

Hi Enfield Enthusiasts,

Im working on a feature film in Feb 2013, principal filming in New Mexico. The main premise of the film is a biker traveling from NYC to LA. To move away from the cliched HD bikes I think it would be different to integrate a Royal Enfield.
If anyone can help us find rentals or even let us borrow their bikes for the shoot I would be very grateful. This is a low budget SAG Independent Project.

if you were in oklahoma id be happy to let you use mine,check with kevin at 1-800-201-7472 he can help with nearest dealer etc...best of luck in the search,by the way what will be the name of the movie?

you may try to contact bug_catcher . She is in Las Cruces I believe.
She hasn't posted for quite a while, not sure if she still has her Enfield.

Sweet Deal, Thanks guys! We go into pre-production in January, thats when the funds are released and currently this is the best deal. Ive had some folks offer to rent their bikes (dealers ) for $100/day, since we are filming for 30 days buying it would make the most sense. (in this case)
Will keep on looking and then make the plunge Jan 15th!

Whereabouts in NM??  I have a 2008 Green model that's sitting in my Albuquerque garage since I bought my Suzuki V-Strom.  Are you planning on riding it or using it mostly as a sort of prop.  If riding it I'd need to start her up and make sure she will run right first.  Might as well put her to some use instead of sitting all lonely like.  :)_

There is a dealership of them up in Santa Fe. Or i have one up by Sandia Ridge.

Thanks for all your replies and suggestions, I am on the ground in Las Cruces, principal filming as been moved to April.
Rick505 we could work something since we are getting gear from ABQ, and yes the actor would be riding the bike for 30% and the rest would be on a trailer as we shoot via a processed vehicle.
