For a 2008 Electra. I want the 4 inch lower seat. When I have it, I will buy the bike to put it under. :)
-
Just buy the bike and take the seat to an upholstery shop to have it custom made to your specifications. It cost me 60 bucks. Dew.

That is an option - when I get the bike, it will have the seat on it anyway, so I can check out if that would work, as opposed to the 4inch lower one. The stock seat height it 30 inches - 27 is about as tall as she can manage.

The Deluxe Solo seat with 3 inch springs can take several inches out of the seat height. You can also bolt the seat directly to the frame since the bike is not a hard-tail.

I was looking at the Elgish low-seat option before I bought my Electra, but opted for the delux solo seat instead. It's not as low as I'd like, but it is a better seat. Upon examining pictures of the low seat, and looking at the frame of my bike with the seat removed, it looks to me like the English seat would have almost no padding at all. To me, that's not worth it.

Looks like we may have to rethink things a bit. She is still keen to have the bike, so we will need to play with options to see which one fits her best.

You could try lower shocks or a shock lowering kit.......Dew.

U could let some air outta the tires,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Just had to say that.........dg

Does anyone know any way to get Watsonian Squires to answer an email, or do I need to use the phone to contact them. They seem to be the only place with the short person seat, and my Lady is keen to have that one - she is not very keen on a solo seat, don't know why not, but I don't claim to understand women folk.

Give Dave a call at 1-800-201-7472 We usually keep one of those seats around or can get it for you. We don''t carry it in our catalog because of supply issues, but as I said we either have one or can get you one.

Thank you. I will do that.

Does anyone know of a shock lowering kit that will work with a "classic".?
I have a customer looking to drop about 6" total...we intend to do the single seat to drop a few and hope we can pull the rest with a shock adjustment

Here are your options
1. shorter shocks - be careful as the Enfield only has about 3 1/2 inchs of swing arm travel.
2. 18 inch rear wheels
3. lower profile tires
4, shorter front fork springs
You will get the most out of a lowered seat
