Hey guys I am just saying hello here as I have just bought a 2022 Himalayan which I will pick up on Monday.I am an Interceptor owner and have been mostly on the Interceptor form the past few years.

The 411 is a good piece. The Himi riders here all like the nice power, it's comfortable, and there are good accessory packages available. If you ever wear it out and want more grunt there are bolt-on big bore kits available.

Post some pics and you'll likely get more "bites".

Hi James and welcome! I bought a left over 2021 Himalayan in early 2022. I love the bike for the Indiana backroads and local travel.

Himmy riders are probably all out riding since there isn't any chrome to worry about getting dirty.  ;D

Here it is.Picked it up this morning.I had test ridden one so I knew what to expect.
Thoughts....rode well up to 70mph no problem.Mirrors need changing.blurry and not a great rear view.Anybody fitted bar end mirrors?
It was wet roads, It felt a bit slippy on bends on this chunky rear Pirelli.Could be just me backing of the throttle.
Totally happy with my purchase and hoping to put in some miles.

Tires usually need to scrub in a bit, maybe a 10 mile excursion on a gravel road would buff off the glossy patches. If you are expecting a lot of wet road usage, maybe even look at the offerings by Avon & Dunlop, they seem to have the "grippy whilst wet" thing figured out.

There are rubber mirror extender mount bases out there, that might cure the shakes you see. You could also try taping some weight onto the stems to see if it makes a difference.

I have changed the stock mirrors on the bike to the mirrors of my RE Interceptor.I had fitted bar end mirrors on the Interceptor.
What a huge difference.I can see so much more and there is no blurryness
Probably down to the fact the interceptor mirrors are heavier.

Glad they are working for you, tall & wide is a recipe for rear-viewing success. Bar ends on a trail bike usually have a short, unhappy life in my experience.  :o ;D

Don't think I maybe worded that too clearly.I have the Interceptor mirrors fitted to the Himalayan.

I am riding the Himalayan no problem at 70mph national speed limit on our motorway here in the UK.,so I would say it's a perfectly capable bike for motorway riding.
The interceptor twin is a totally different ride, more power and capable of much higher speeds.
Apart from replacing the regulator rectifier I have had no other bad problems.
