Version 1.7 is out

„With the new app update, now you can:
-Evaluate and select alternate routes
-Mute/unmute navigation audio
-Preview routes while navigating
-Add multiple POIs on your route
-Pin drop a location directly on the map while navigating

The update also includes:
-GPS calibration on Android
-UI changes and improvements
-Seamless auto-connect for existing devices“

Google Play Store for Android and Apple App Store for IOS. I am using both systems and got the updates automatically

I just uninstalled the one I had and am downloading it now ,  I'll take a ride in a bit and see if it get lost if I make a wrong turn

Well, at least you guys over the pond get the windscreen with the Supernova model. In the colonies, for reasons unknown, that item is not included with the Supernova, but the higher model price was still the same. That's why I bought a Stellar. At least it had the backrest and I bought the screen through Hitchcocks, in order to get one, as RE North America wouldn't even sell them here. WTF!!

I uninstalled the app I had and re-installed the new one.    I was able to stack way points and all seemed well till I got to where the phone did not have any bars.   Then it was back to the spinning compass.   It was all good again when I got to town and cell phone service again

Meteors are not coming with it now as there is a world shortage of Microchips.  I don't use mine a lot, but had to take a detour recently because of road works.  I was a godsend.

Yes I have the same problem.  Just updated mine,  I know it is a later version than the one I had because it has alternative routes which it didn't before.  But cannot find the version number.

Just checked on my phone when I downloaded it, still says version 1.6, but it does have the additional bits including alternative route and muting of commentary.

Hi just to clarify.  On google when you download the app it says version 1.6.  I still have no idea how to check this on the downloaded app.

Versions may be different on Android and IOS. To see if you have the latest one, just tap on the map. If you are able to chose a point on the map, it is the latest update

After deleting the old one and installing the new one , I had to re-pair to the bike (easy).  Same pass-word .

And a member from the UK here found 1.6, so just another quirk in the inefficiency of RE worldwide co-ordination. Time to focus more on the present customers than keep rolling out new product that they can't keep up with support or parts on.

1.7 still does not have all the features of the Indian 7.7 version. Why European users are disadvantaged is beyond me. But even 7.7 has limited use as far as I'm concerned. Poor Tripper, it could have been so good...

As some have mentioned, the rollout may be different by region. My mobile is on the latest iOS, I’m in the mid-Atlantic east coast USA & i’m not seeing the update. App store only shows me the one released over a year ago. Interested to give it a go when it lands...

What are the disadvantages you‘re talking about? Booking services directly is not possible and you can‘t configure your motorbike before buying it. Both are not available outside of India

For Android user:
go in the PlayStore and search the Royal Enfield app then UPGRADE. Easy.

That didn't work for me. I had to search for the RE App in the Settings Apps of the mobile phone and do the update from there.

7.7 has additional map functions and the app also has various tabs, not all of which are usable here as you say but some are such as a catalogue of service videos, ride storybook with real-time mapping (though these are all in Asia), a compass that actually works and with 7.7 it will restart where it left off if I've turned off the ignition for a break (1.7 seems to have a problem with that).

I just recently updated mine but not sure it is the latest update or how old my original old version was. My old version had the helmet icon that changes to green when you connect to the bike as a head on view to the helmet icon. The newer version I recently downloaded has a side view to the helmet icon. Not sure how that relates to version numbers but it does show it is a different version than what I had before.

Have they made a version that keeps the clock showing the correct time, even when the Tripper is not in use? If I'm not going to use the damned thing, it should at least show the correct time.

Mine always shows the correct time.
Other than pairing it to my phone once when I first got the bike (therefore setting the time) I have never used the Tripper.

Hi All
I put in a query to RE India some time ago,  they have now officially sent me an email saying that a new update is available for the tripper,  I have found that it doesnt like indicating right turns at a roundabout.

I used the newest version for North America of the Tripper app today for the first time. It worked for me after pairing it with my iPhone. As I use it more I will report back here if I experience some of the issues that others have reported, but so far it worked well for me.

Does anyone see where the settings are to mute and unmute navigation for the Apple version? The App Store says that it was updated two weeks ago and it is version 1.4.

I have it installed and I’ve gone through all the menus and cannot find the selection for muting and unmuting the audio. Thanks so much for your help.

I’m wondering if maybe you live in Europe? Here in the United States it shows that the app was updated about three weeks ago but it only shows version 1.4. It doesn’t seem to have the option to mute navigation audio either.
