OH NO!
I’ll still on my way back from Americade that weekend. A long time ridding friend and I will be leaving June 2nd and probably not returning until the REunion weekend.
The plan is to cross Canada to Ottawa, then south to Lake George, NY for a few days at Americade. From There to Gettysburg for a day and overnight, then on to DC where we will meet the SO''s at the airport. We will all do the usual tourist thing in DC for a few days then drop the SO's at Dulles. Then home through WV, OH, IN, Il, IA, and MN of course.
Maybe if we are in the neighborhood of Eagle Cliff early enough on Sunday, on our way back, we can stop.
Our planned route is through Anamosa, IA (The National Motorcycle Museum) and up Hwy 52. We will then be going right past the area. I would really like to see everyone again.

Oh, if only I could get 4 days off and the wife to would not have a embolism. 1400 miles it a bit far.........

1,877 miles or 36 hours, 12 minutes for me.

How do you split that up? 3x12 hour days or 4x9 hour days? 900 miles in a car is about my limit these days so on a bike I would think 450 to 500 would be pushing it.

Ice ya must be slow ----32-33 hrs straight with 2 hr nap in neb or am i that crasy

Now that you mention it,,,,that was Google maps best on the road at posted speed limit non stop drive estimated time.
REal time would have to factor in food and fuel stops, EDF, getting lost "scenic detours" getting un stuck on said detours, enjoying the view, a exhaustion induced coma good night sleep in motel, a good meal or two, a couple visits with a chiropractor, walking fifteen miles for gas "aerobic exercise",,,,,,,,,call it a week give or take.

You know I would like to be there. I'll try to get there early enough on Sunday to see everyone. However after nearly 4K miles in 14 days, I'll be more into coffee and conversation.
Have failth. Getting lost in those hills and roads can be a good thing. You will eventually either run across Hwy 59, 52, I-90 or the river.
Jane told me I would like your new bike. She is right. Sweet ride the Connie 14.

Hope you do make it even for just Sun. morning.
I'll get on mapquest and map a day ride out. Unlike you I'm not disciplined enough to be out in front though. Might run it through the gears and watch the Enfields (except for Bobs Fireball) turn into tiny little dots in the mirrors.
I do a lot better bringing up the rear picking up the extra parts.

"Disciplined"? Not a word often used to describe my riding style...

4 more weeks !

Mentioned it to the wife, her only comment was she did not want to drive over 700 miles in the truck to pick me up. Hmm, was not a definite no, and the seed has been planted.

Is there a "schedule" with details of the bike ride, dinner etc. posted anywhere? I realize this is a RE affair and things will happen based on the whims and fancies of the bikes, alignment of the stars and possibly the new fangled Karma tags on this site......but, I would love to spend Saturday looking at Bullets in beautiful Lanesboro and it would be great if someone with prior experience could post some details on what to expect.
Thanks, and hope to meet some of you great folks in person!

The whole thing is real informal.
There will be a ride sometime Sat. to somewhere.
If you want to work out a good 100 mile day trip with lunch in the middle I'll follow.
If not I got a few different routes worked out but haven't been on them.
Dinner will be after that sometime.
I put on my vacation memo I was going to Mn. to do alcohol research. That's my agenda and I'm sticking to it.
I'm bringing a Harley Guy too so don't be too rough on him.
Bring quarters for the showers.
It's nice campground but the owners are relentless in their quest to maintain order. I guess that's what it takes to keep a nice place nice though.

I did get to stop in Friday afternoon, so I had a chance to see many of the old crowd. Sorry I missed some of you. I was kind of anxious to get home.
I hoped you all stayed dry. I hit rain on the way home, not much compared to the 8 of 14 days on the road in the rain. The bike had blown out a fork seal on I-74 so I was riding a pogo stick. The oil had hemoraged out and greased the bike pretty well so I wasn't wanting to ride it much more than I had to before I get it fixed.
See you all next year.

I couldn't make it this year but looking forward to the next one. I'm looking for a report from CJ. Where you at brother?

Better late than never, here's some pics from the rally.

As always the rally was a great time. The ride to and from was great aside from the seat on the Concours was even worse than the seat on my G5 if you can believe that. I almost took the Leatherman out to cut my butt off to stop the pain.
This Black throbbing, rolling storm followed us all the way across 2 states and finally caught up with us about 25 miles away from home.
Broke the zipper on my 5yr old rain suit.
Got a new rain suit and a air hawk r for the seat.
Ready for next year. Can't wait.
Thank's to the CMW girls for another stellar time.
