Has anyone replaced the Neutral Switch on an Interceptor 650T 2019 model. Getting access to the connector does not look easy.

Update on fault P0651. Having carried out a lot of troubleshooting (most of the day) I noticed at dusk that the neutral light was flickering. If I moved the gear change lever ever so slightly the light would go out but the bike was still in neutral. I switched off the engine and tried to restart. No joy, when I pulled in the clutch the bike started.

I have placed an order for a gear position sensor. On page 657 of the service manual, EMS DTC Codes P0917 and P0916 are for the Gear Position Sensor. The Hitchcock scanner that I am using only code P0651 comes up. Does anyone know why this is?

I had to change my neutral switch last year and can confirm that getting to the connector is not easy. I removed the battery and the battery tray and that gave me a bit more room to manoeuvre but it's tight. When you are removing the battery tray there is a connecter and some wires that go through a guide hole the underside of the battery tray that you have to split. When reinstalling the tray don't try and route that cable and connector back through the hole, it's impossible, just connect the cable and leave it where it is, it's not going anywhere.Make sure that when you connect the new switch you hear a solid click when you push them together, otherwise you get to do the whole procedure all over again. Don't ask me how I know.🤬
Good luck.
