Just did mine this weekend at 310 miles. Intake were 0.002-.0025", exhaust at 0.006". Getting the valve cover / gasket back on was a "Royal" pain in the ....... Had to use a small 90 degree pick tool to pull / push it in place at the aft and forward locations.
Another observation was the spark plugs. They were perfectly clean, almost no evidence of combustion event. This engine most be running on the lean side. Not used to that with my old school bikes.
Did the oil change with a Mobil 1 filter and Motul 10W50 oil. Just a little bit of "fuzz" on the drain plug magnet.
