So I usually ride around 55-65 mph and my GT is lovely in that spot. Vibration is only irritating around 75, which is fine because I rarely go that fast lol.
Has anyone used a 19 tooth primary gear? If so have you noticed much of a drop in rpms allowing the bike to go a little faster @ lower rpms = less vibration.

Very tight fit.
About 250 rpm lower.

My 16 GT has now 19 tooth . At 100kmph has drop from 3500rpm to 3200 rpm

It is easier to mount a rear sprocket from 34 teeth than a front sprocket  with 19 teeth.

I have the 19t front sprocket from Hitchcocks and the speedo vibration dampers. All totaled it was like 20 quid. The best value for money upgrade you can do on the GT for highway riding.

You got a bargain if you got a sprocket plus vibe damper bolts for less then 20 pounds sterling!  Hitchcocks currently lists 19t Sprockets for 30 pounds sterling.    ( when I tried to use the pound symbol got the dreaded data base error )

Hmmmm. So what does everyone suggest? Changing the primary (gearbox sprocket) or just the rear wheel sprocket?
Or maybe changing the primary and the vibration reduction plate at the same time??

Whichever you think will be easier for you.
The gear ratio adjustment doesn't care which end it is on.

Changing the rear sprocket to 34t will probably require shortening the chain.  19t front possibly get by with adjustment.
Forgive my tired olde eyes, but I can't find a 19t 530 sprocket on Hitchcock s 535GT listing, only a narrow one.  My preference would be to do the front (with an oil change) for a look inside the case, and/or a Carberry plate.  Cheers!

I`ll just repeat myself. The 19t front and the vibration dampers from Hitchcocks are best value upgrade I have made on my CGT. Two small things that make a world of difference on the highway.

Send them an email. I find their website a pain in the @ss to navigate.

Got an email from Hitchcocks the other day with what seems to be a new (nicer) format for their website.  Anyone else seen it?

Awesome! Thanks for the support. I'm definitely doing the 19 and the Carberry plate.

I too notice Hitchcock's has improved their website. ????

A forum member is offering the Carberry plate here https://forum.classicmotorworks.com/index.php/topic,27129.0.html and I think I have an unnecessary 19T sprocket in my workshop.  Will look Monday or Tuesday.

When removing engine cover rh it is better to replace also the "o" ring oil pump outlet (pn 570293).

Excellent advice!
That o-ring takes a "set" very quickly.
