So.....I did it! I went to Harbor Freight and bought one of their tire machines, (with motorcycle tire adapter).
With all the coupons...I got everything for about $65 !
But.....
I already spent another $50 or so....hardware to mount it to the floor...some ratchet straps to help hold things while working....Had to rent a hammer drill to make hole in the concrete floor to mound lag bolts.
I managed to get both tires off.....fairly easy.....a lot easier than the way I used to do it with spoons....In fact on these skinny tires, I don't think I would be able to get 'em off with just spoons...and good chance of scratching the rims...
Now I find there are some aftermarket accessories that make this tire changer "really" work....and that's another $160....
yeah...I could of just had "my guy" do 'em for $30 a piece...
But I like doing things myself....in my shop....when I want it done!
Working in the shop makes me happy and keeps me out of the bars!
