Bought myself some smaller indicators from Amazon, but also bought the LED ballasts separately.
Not yet fitted as wondering if ballasts are actually needed, also where to hide the ballasts....

Anyone fitted them for their advice?

I’ve fitted sets Of LED indicators to many bikes, most of them I’ve replaced with an LED relay, some of these relays are adjustable for flash rate, the only model I’ve come across that has to have ballasts was a 954 fireblade because the relay was built into the clocks, also these ballasts need To be fitted to heat sink, the value of the ballasts were 6ohm 50w.

Just received my led flasher relay ( $15 AU on eBay).
Adjustable flash rate.
Have my rear light assembly , now just waiting for my front mini units so I can do it all at once. There’s a good YouTube video about it by a guy goes under the title ‘’Dorman Diaries’

Can you shed some light on this?

I would rather go the LED relay and not add resistors to each turn signal. If I buy this one (https://smile.amazon.com/Replacement-Adjustable-Compatible-Electronic-MOTORCYCLE/dp/B07D33JGLC/ref=pd_bxgy_2/136-3758278-1516850?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B07D33JGLC&pd_rd_r=de6250fd-e142-4dab-8132-709143df027b&pd_rd_w=SEyvk&pd_rd_wg=wXrCF&pf_rd_p=ce6c479b-ef53-49a6-845b-bbbf35c28dd3&pf_rd_r=3ZY31QNSR8AJE6A08996&psc=1&refRID=3ZY31QNSR8AJE6A08996) I just have to change the order of the wires from the way they go in to the factory relay? Am I reading your post correctly?

Thanks!

Yes thats the right one . Maybe in your case it works just by plug and play but me and 5 friends from our RE group Had to change the wiring + to - and - to + . You can do that by cutting the angled connector or get 2 cables with male and female connections and cross connect them

Just ordered 2 sets of these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/383640620373

TEC Bike Parts has wiring harnesses available, which makes it nice for those of us who would rather not take the harness apart with a pick and re-wire with Sumitomo crimp connectors. That's essentially what they've done, I know, but I'm willing to pay a reasonable amount for them already done. See https://www.tecbikeparts.com/products/models/royal-enfield-2019-models-on/interceptor-650/lighting-electrical-interceptor-650/

Emailed TEC Bike Parts (USA) to see if they have the harnesses here. Otherwise I'll be ordering the harnesses and the LED tail light direct from the UK. EDIT: TEC Bike Parts (USA) says they do have the harnesses, and the entire kit in stock.

Ordering up the LED flasher relay from Amazon now.

also . be aware if you doing a full tail light swap and remove the tail light housing you have no place for the oem connectors anymore and the OEM RE connectors are not waterproof .

on all my past bikes and my RE i used solder shrink connectors wich are basicly shrink hoses but with a solder core inside. you heat them up > they shring and solder on the inside. they are one of the best invention ever.

The TEC Bike Parts plug and play rear wiring kit has six bullet connectors that go directly into the OEM harness. Two in each indicator and two in the new brake. No splicing required. At least that is what they're telling me. I'll know more when they get here and I've got the new light and indicators mounted.

I like the idea of the solder shrink connectors for other projects, though.

Also be aware that those blinkers come bare wire so even with the TEC harness you still need to buy the bullet end bits for the new ones.

Checked on that before I ordered from Ebay. If the photo is correct, they have bullet connectors. Otherwise, I'm off to Lowes.  8)

Is’t that section of the loom removable? From near the tank?

That's where I'm planning to plug in the TEC rear wire harness. Unplug the originals, remove the rear blinkers and tail light, install the new stuff and plug directly into the existing harness laying there under the seat.
