Title: Righ side shift conversion
Post by: mtrude on January 14, 2008, 03:52:24 pm
Hello, has anyone done the right side shift conversion? I may be attempting it in the spring. Any advice /flames is appreciated. Also which  special tools are required?  Thanks mtrude

I've done 2 of em. Quite an improvement over the L shift 4 speed.
Not much needed in the way of special tools. The first one took me 4 or 5 shots at getting the shifter ratchet right and the second one took me 2 times to get it right.
Aside from that it's pretty simple wrench turning.

Thanks for the reply, How long did it take the first time? Does the conversion kit include the better quality, upgraded bearings or do I need to purchase them separately? Thanks mtrude
