Royal Enfield have produced a comprehensive workshop manual for this model, but it is not something they allow dealers to sell in a paper format or even give away as a free of charge download. Of course, this should be made available to owners in one form or another as it is an incredibly useful asset, but ourselves and dealers are restricted by Royal Enfield on this. Hopefully RE may take another stance in the future, so that these manuals can be made easier to access for private owners.

The manual sounds like it is in circulation already, and whilst we cannot host this directly on the forum, an easy way for files to be shared would be through something like google drive.

Just to note, and it may not be anything sinister, but please urge on the side of caution when sending across your private e-mail address, and certainly do not entertain making any form of payment for someone to send a copy of these manuals.
Thanks admin that's sound advice :)

I glad that manuel actualy exist .   I would be happy to pay for it.   Waiting for a more sercure way to purchace it.
I have serveral Service Manuals from CYCLEPEDIA  they are very detailed and well done.  Had a phone conversation with Greg at Cyclepedia ,  he stated he would love to produce one for the Meteor but has not been able to get any information to do so.
Hopeful Royal Enfield will be more open with this needed information  which other manufactures provide .   This a very well designed and manufactu;red motorcycle,  you would think Royal Enfield would be proud to share this information with us.

Now we know that they are out in the wild it's only a matter of time untill they show up somewhere, my betting is on eBay before long.

A decent fellow RE enthusiast would offer this to all for FREE, regardless if there was an initial illegal expense involved for him/her to obtain it.

Profits for the sale of this material should only belong to Royal Enfield, as they own the copyright, but since they refuse to offer it for sale to the general public, I would suggest a free online version would possibly make RE and other manufacturers realize that their tactic of withholding technical information will never work and thus discourage this practice from becoming more widespread.

I urge xpop to forego his financial considerations for this manual and offer up that PDF to all who need it. Maybe he will consider that once he has his $10 back.

My bad. xpop hasn't offered the manual for money in return. That was usasmartindian, so I say the same to him about offering this for free, at least once he has recouped his $50. Maybe xpop will consider this too?

Hear, hear. I would hope that someone having a copy of this manual, eg @usasmartindian or @xpop would provide it without obligation via a google drive link or similar. We are a community of Royal Enfield riders who should (and often do) help each other out with various bits of information, experiences and advice. Sometimes providing, sometimes receiving. That's the way the best forums work.

I don't own one of those newfangled Meteors, but it may interest those who do or may plan to that a PDF of its Service Manual  has found its way into the wild as a free download on this Russian cloud server, much as had been earlier prophesied in this thread, at: https://cloud.mail.ru/public/LRVf/dC5NZW3pQ

If one DOES access and view that file, then an abundance of legal caution compels me to warn others on the Forum that they may inadvertently risk contravention of the 1886 Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works  or other international copyright accords by doing so, just like I may or may not have just successfully done in an investigatory capacity by first clicking that red PDF icon and then clicking the little white downward-arrow download icon on a blue background to commence its free download. Depending on one's web browser, one may or may not need to open that download once complete with another viewer such as Adobe Reader or a word processor. Which would be wrong. So very very wrong, unless you're some sort of scofflaw who doesn't care what it takes to know those torque settings.

"Try file. Is good!"

So badass my Enfield's actually illegal  in India. Yet it squeaks by here in Virginia.

That's a beautiful thing Bilgey! Thanks for bringing it to the attention of the hive! Mucho appreciated by all I'm sure.

Cue the dancing emoji, which we don't have.

This may be an appropriate one, given the source...

Thank you so much! And what a superb workshop manual it is, too!
Plenty of reading within its 1200 odd pages 🤓

Folks see have become a topic of discussion. Now coming to the free part would have done it myself had I received it for free. Had to shell around $50 and time to get the original soft copy of the complete service manual. Chippin in the costs will not only help me but also others save. I am not here to make money but an IT professional and an new bike owner like all of you guys. I did have Xpop pay a nominal amount to recoup my costs of investing on getting one. thanks appreciate the right words and not spread words of uncertainty or myself here to play shenanigans. thanks!
