Installed 7 inch headlight, rock gaurd and heal toe shifter.

Oh that wind screen crap.  I am just going to ride without one.

I am still fiddling with tire inflation to alleviate front wobble.

In 3,000 miles, I've never tried running my 500 'trials replica' flat out in top gear (stock gearing). Was on a long stretch today and gave it a go. 83mph indicated, so just short of 80mph real. Without too much vibration, which surprised me. Was sat upright, so not too bad. 70mph felt more relaxed afterwards  8)

Today I took the 2016 Classic 350 for a short ride to keep the battery charged & to enable me to warm up the engine, check the oil & ensure all is well. The bike hasn't run for nearly two months and has now been sold, however due to New Zealand being back in lockdown the new owner (based in another city) cannot collect, and at this stage I'm not sure when this will be able to happen.

There is a post on this site about buyer's remorse; after today I suspect I'm suffering from seller's remorse. It is such a sweet bike to ride, so smooth and responsive. If the buyer changed their mind I wouldn't be upset to keep it.

I also took my 2021 Classic 500 out on the same road to compare the bikes. It has only covered 900kms since purchase and needs to settle in some more, but both bikes feel so different to ride.

Still very happy with the new machine, now fitted with the 350's old saddle, panniers and Hitchcocks flyscreen. Once mellowed with another few thousand kilometers and a few adventures under its tires I'm sure it will be a keeper.

The 500 looks fantastic. Like the saddle, suits it. Hitchcocks?

Thanks for the positive comment. The saddle was bought off eBay from a trader in India about 4 years ago.
Good quality, very comfortable and bolted straight on  :)

Put Hitchcock engine bracket and nee speedo cable on.

By the way, why couldn't they put a  metal fuel spicket instead of plastic.

Broke it by accident.   200.00 for a new fuel pump.

Ugh expensive lesson.

Turned a money-courier bag into a lockable, removable soft-case that clips to my luggage rack.

There's a thread a couple of years back with more details if anyone can point you towards it....pretty much a standard unit which comes with multiple fittings to suit different bikes👍

Fixed my flat tire, and it was so much fun, I did it again!   ::)

After patching big hole in tube, and mounting tire on wheel, it went flat again. Pulling tube once more, I found a few more small holes in the same area.  :o :P

One more re-mount and I was on the road again!!!  8)

I got my 2011 B5 down the GW Parkway as far south as Mount Vernon. On the way back I stopped for this photo on the Potomac River.
This machine has the first ACE Motors Clubman Kit 2 cylinder head with our cams installed as well. The head has stainless steel valves, with the intake 1mm larger than stock. The Clubman Kit 1 has standard springs. This one has bee hive springs. This set up is not for all out race results. The regular tune, as you know, starts strong. Then, the motor just runs out of breath. The revs get higher but the power just doesn't climb. This cam and head breathe better than stock. The usual, off idle torque power, extends up to the rev limiter. When you are in the power band - anywhere...the power keeps coming on. This Bullet a real pleasure to drive. There's a progressive power band all the way to the top.

The stock steel valves have their heads friction welded to the stems. Under hard and hot driving the exhaust valves can drop their heads. These valves are one piece affairs.
