Sure miss that yuengling porter!  Heard they are starting up in Arkansas.  Hope they come to Texas.

I dunno...I do miss that humble Shiner Bock. It's like gourmet suds up here, and priced accordingly--if you find it.
So badass my Enfield's actually illegal  in India. Yet it squeaks by here in Virginia.

I gave the wee beasty a good goin' over to get the dust & crud off 'er from the past few rides. A dash of chain lube was added, then off fer a nice blap around the area. Temps were between 9 an 10c and windy by the water.

The motors' runnin' fine again since setting me EJK proper. :)
Nothing better than a nice putt on an RE.

Fed up with my existing faulty handlebar clock I bought a 43mm watch/clock insert and turned up a ribbed Aluminium mount for it in my old Boxford lathe.

Installed leather grip wraps (standard grips were too narrow for me - the wraps made a huge difference in comfort), and replaced the standard headlight visor with a "Royal Enfield" engraved one.

Yeah. Those little headlamp visor caps are a real nice touch...Yanking out that silly-ass DOT-mandated 5¼ inch export headlamp for a halogen 7 incher ($89.99 delivered) topped off with a  natty little cap engraved with that old cannon logo ($22.14 delivered) was job one for me after doing the fluids. I was pretty happy to receive a cap where the engraved parts are painted in rather nicely in red and black, unlike the one shown in its eBay photo below, though I'd frankly have been perfectly happy with that too. Installation of both was a snap.

Changed the oil and filter and ready for another 2500 miles.  Paid a visit to my friendly fabricator  to see about having a skid plate made.  Wanting to explore some dirt roads with rocks.  Nothing too serious at my age but just wander about a bit and looking for case protection.  Will send pic's when completed.

Visor/peak looks nice better than my plain one, whats the quality like?

Here in Australia the Classic 500 comes standard with a 7" headlight so no need to replace. The visor I got have was engraved and painted red and black as well - looks good fitted..

I had a good ride about the zone on this fine St Paddy's Day. :) Sunny with temp around 17c mostly.
I checked the bike over before departing and had to snug up the kick start lever bolt as it had developed a looseness on the shaft. That's the only fastener that has come loose in 3 yrs of owning the wee beasty. Can't bitch at that. 8)

I cruised out to Blueberry Flats (Our local speed stretch.) then down to me chum's shop fer a wee nip an a BS. Fun day & plenty of other riders out to boot. ;D

Installed 17T sprocket. 102 chain was too long, leaving me at the next to last notch on the snails so I knocked a link off which set it back to a comfortable 5th notch from start. Replaced the Oil Pump Pinion gear for good measure. Replaced the Oil Pump Outlet o-ring. The old one was smashed into what looked like a plastic stepped bushing (Nice factory install. :o ). New RH cover gasket and installed the cover. New OIl filter, new oil, and after letting it sit overnight will check for any static leakage before firing it up.

Well, it looks far better than its eBay picture. That's for sure. The chroming on the underside of the one I got is just a little spotty, but who'll ever see it? I polished mine all over with just a dab of humble yet long-lasting Turtle Wax Chrome Polish before mounting as a sort of preservative against rust--same with the new headlight bezel inside and out. I might come back and lob a photo of it here for you if the rain lets up...
