They might have them on a 2005 Bullet 500ES in "Mean Green" Military Trim though...

Got a nice long fat 1/2" breaker bar with the difference to replace the one lent to a buddy long ago and never returned. I can only presume he must be using it as a marital aid, and that it has since acquired some sentimental value. Who am I to stand in the way of true romance?

Very thoughtful of you!  If he ever offers to return it, I'd politely refuse...

If it's been gone that long it's now probably only useful as an anal depth gauge, be impolite not to test it out on him ;)

Well, I'm not that squeamish, but it ain't like he's never helped me out of a bind or six. So, if it gets those skyrockets in flight, I'm OK with him (or her) holding on to that big silver Honduro.  Cue the Hawkwind...

Finally got my 1/8" flexible shaft die grinder on Thursday.  After over a week of having a tracking number but still marked as not received by post office, and 2 unanswered messages, I threatened to pursue a PayPal claim if no tracking or response was made in 48 hours.  They never did message me, but there was a tracking trail started the next day.

Anyway, I also ordered 2 precision 1/8" deburring bits for it from Snap On.  Of course they are quite proud of them at $18 each.  But I had a chance to start grinding out clearances for the connecting rods.  The setup actually works very well.  If the bits shaft's were about 1" longer they'd be perfect.  None the less, still great for my needs.  I'm pretty sure the drive side case half is good to go.  Went to check cylinder clearances and the found the head studs are bent and causing too much grief for fitting purposes, so will need to get new studs ordered ASAP.   Will get pics posted on my thread as I make progress.

Just got back from a nice Spring ride out to Jordan River and back around the hood. Beauty weather and temp at 10c. Before setting out I checked tire pressures and lubed the chain. Twas a nice way to add another 120 km on the beasty. :)

Lot's of other bikes out there today, but as usual, I never saw any other RE's on the road. Bummer. :o
Nothing better than a nice putt on an RE.

No worries t'day for wind. Steady light breezes from off the sea. :) April and November are pretty windy compared to the rest of the year around here. :o

Tappets check? On a UCE?

Sorry. My cast iron wandered into the wrong subforum...

Further to the topic of breaker bars, in this case a nice easily stowable one, there's this.

Changed the original fuel pipe as it was completely kinked double, i'm surprised it kept on running, did it without taking the tank or seat off so getting the pipe back on the injector was a right sh!t.

Or the Yuengling Black & Tans...Then again, all it says in the roster at my end when I mush "Show Unread" with my fat and scarred pre-Nintendo thumbs is "What did you do to your Royal Enfield Today?" So, you Modernos with your golden lamé riding onesies with heated footpads will just have to forgive a pre-dotard from time if he prattles on about grommets and tappets and shit. It's all for the good, bitches.

I had to tweek the the the EJK controller a tad t'day as I noticed me machine weren't going as strong on the hilly sections of the ride I took yesterday. Turned out that I miss counted the lights for some settings on the unit.

My EJK lives under the seat on a little hammock I made fer it outta hockey tape, and the controller is fixed to that bit with the double sided tape that came with the bugger. (The rig works great & the unit ain't budged since me install.)
Only buggaboo is, to get at the controller buttons and see the panel, I either got to pop off the seat or do the peek, twist & fiddle from the side.
I chose the latter method which proved poor due to whiskey, old eyes & being in a hurry to get set fer the morning ride. :o

I'll get this sorted quick by making a little pouch outta synthetic fabric with a velcro mounting to the seat pan & a velcro fastened, front flap to allow easy withdraw of the EJK for tuning.

Twas a grand ride t'day thanks to the warm air coming in from the south. I'll take 15c temps anyday! :)
