Indeed - AR - WA - AK. I was reading that RE is building a new factory in India to crank out an additional 150,000 bikes a year. It was an optimistic article on the royalenfields.com site that projected it would bring increased technological manufacturing and better quality. Soon it will be a lot more common place to see these on the road in the coming years.

In summary, I imagine there will be an increased demand for domestic (U.S.) parts of some of the wear-out pieces that fail more than others. I would like to see a cheaper oil filter....

I just now read your comment.  Very prophetic.

I was doing 5 over going around a bend when I spotted a motorcycle cop giving the radar treatment to me.

If you were going 5 over by hte speedo, you were welll= under the speed limit!
Did you get ride of my muffler?

Today, I went to the shop to pick up some pieces for my poor injured Beast. I got a tank, rear finder gaskets for the fuel pump and left switch box. I had to run to Chapparal to get a set of handlebars. I will hopefully be back on the road by the weekend. I'll still have some damage, but the Beast will be rideable. Yee haaa!

Heh, I already calculated the speedo error in my figuring!   ;D

You are #2 on the upswept muffler list, Ice is #1.  I'm taking my time determining if the OEM torpedo is best for me.  Looks like it, but some high mph riding is next.

Will the upswept muffler fit on the G5?

I drove 100 miles to visit my bike. They got the new engine! Now they just have to install it. I took some pix of the bike and some along my return home via car. I'm trying to figure out picasa picture hosting. I'll send a link once that is done.

Here it is

Yup - We are from the same town. Her son married my Pastor's daughter. Ok, so I'm still 4 degrees of seperation away from Kevin Bacon...

I do appreciate it and am standing by to remedy that high-vibe metal tinging noise when I ride.

Logged 70 miles this morning.  Left the house at 4:30am.  The outside temperature was already 87 degrees as I rolled out of my garage.  The Summer Sun here in Arizona is not your friend.  Riding before dawn is the best way to beat the extreme heat.

Hot sun?  I'd take a day or two of it.  Dark rainy day follows dark rainy day here in UK.  And cold with it.  I lit the woodstove this afternoon, and today I went out and bought coal.   COAL !!
It's July for petes sake!   >:(
Weather man says plenty more to come -  possibility of a few "sunny intervals".
I hate the climate in this country.

We;ve been having much of the same here in Protland, OR.  We're getting a little sun but mostly gray, overcast, even some heavy rains which is unusual this late in the season.  Last summer was too short and too gray.  If the weather isn't any better next year I fear my wife will want us to move back to California soon.

Rofl. Same in Bavaria. We´re drowning here. During the last 2 days it rained the amount of the complete July average. Soon I´m gonna throw away my leather and get a diving suit. Meanwhile the Bullet could work as a stationary water pump.
I love the weather here. It enables you to be really, really happy when it´s sunny.
