That's why I had them do a service even though it wasn't due. Plus I bought a pedestrian slicer and the fender stripe kit. Those were today's projects.

We are far from perfect.
We have 3 techs. and serviced a few RE's but we still manage to overfill the crankcases.
Shop meeting planned today to go over the procedure again.
Sigh....

yes , when i change my oil, i make it a point to shortchange it and ride short distances and check it a few days later...i usually have to add just a wee bit to get to the 1/2 -  3/4 mark on the stick. but being a dealer, u want it right the first tme and not have to tell your customer that they may have to add some in a few days...but these are enfields and well,,,,,,,i'll leave it at that..

Rolled over 3,500 miles   ;D

Also adjusted the clutch cable and gave it a wash and wax.

I'm waiting on that same boat...  Did your dealer give you any indication when it may show up?  I was told late may early june...  As it turns out I'll be home the first week in June and taking delivery would sure make coming back to this hell hole a little easier...

I use regular.  If it pings, get something higher.  Remember, these are made to run all over India and I don't think fuel quality is that great there so I'm sure they run on low octane fuel just fine.

actually when i was India i had to have my cat taken off my car exhaust because they ran leaded fuel...brought the cat back with the car and had it put back on for u.s. use....that was 15 years ago so they may be on unleaded now...they may be using gasoline like we use to have back in the early 70's and before...i'm sure someone will pipe up and tell us..

Is it legal to use leaded gas anywhere any more?  I thought the whole world outlawed it.

I use mid octane, 89 octane or higher. It's not that much more in price for what you use in a RE, so why not?

It's all unleaded now here in India. Mostly 91 Octane Regular or Premium as advertised - some stations dispense 93 and 97 Octane as well for use in imported bikes. The UCE's run fine on 91 Octane fuel, some of us use the premium version which is 91 Octane plus some additives to clean the fuel line, injectors and decarb the engine.

Just completed an oil change today - gonna pray for some sunshine on Sunday and ride out to the hills on the back roads out here.
