Title: Lowering Seat
Post by: James O on January 01, 2013, 10:22:47 pm
Hi all,
I'm a relatively new owner of a 2007 Bullet Classic (Iron Barrel) and I'm looking for advice on lowering the seat. I'm 5'7" and I'd like to drop it about 2".
I'm interested in moving to the solo seat configuration, and I'd like to do this without having to get involved in any drilling/cutting if possible. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

The easiest way is to use a thinner seat with less padding.

For a solo seat, you might find one for a Harley, and use short springs, or no springs, for a lower height. But the front will still be a little bit higher because there's no spring on the front mount.

If you are still running the stock springs you may want to try the softer ones available. You lose a little clearance, but the ride is superb, and lower.
