Title: Nimbujs motorcycle
Post by: Richard230 on October 21, 2018, 10:25:59 pm
I saw my first running Nimbus today. It looked and sounded really sweet. I think it is a 1950's era model.  Attached are some photos.

Looks quite new!  Here's one at our local meet this summer...

That's a beauty!
I understand those are still popular bikes in Europe with good spares support.

The Solvang mMotorcycle Museum (north of LA) has one with a sidecar that's sweet, along with such things as a Moto Guzzi V8 racer and two Brittens as well as much much more.

That bike is a superb piece of rational design. The frame is all steel strip, plus a bit o' tube for the steering head. Yet it packs an in-line four with shaft drive - a wonderful dissonance.

That one in my pic is sporting a sidecar - not what I'd call "sweet," though...

Is that a sidecar or a coffin?  ;)

Why not both!
