Title: The proper setting...
Post by: rpnix on July 27, 2007, 12:42:18 am
I finally found the "perfect" background to shoot some pictures of my Electra. I found an old (restored) painted building sign advertising Battle Axe chewing tobacco: 10 cents a plug.

Building ads, and even tobacco ads in general are from about the same era as the Royal Enfield, so it seemed appropriate to shoot some photos in front of the sign.

Additional photos can be found at http://www.flickr.com/photos/simplyphotography - A few more of the Electra, and some of my Ural as well.

Enjoy the photos!   :D

Very cool pix Bob. That is a good setting. There's also one in the Members Rides gallery on the beach that's good. Thanks for sharing!

Awesome! Those are gorgeous photos and that is a perfect backdrop for a vintage-styled bike.

Is that in Rochester?

Actually in Spring Valley, about two blocks from Dave's Cycle and my home.
