Title: Cry Uncle
Post by: Blue Ridge Wheeltor on October 15, 2009, 01:18:26 am
I received an email from Uncle Ernie the other day(he never calls, something about witness protection or whatever) and he was a little aggravated because i was bragging on the off road abilities of the Ural. Uncle has a 60's something BMW hack that he bought brand new for his 40th birthday and is understandably proud of it, but it can't compare off road with the Ural.
He kept insisting that his BMW was just as good off road, so I called him on it. I asked him to send me a picture of him off road with his BMW hack in rough terrain. If indeed it was transversing the rough, I'd apologize and bake him a cake. if not, he owed me a cake.............

Now, I ain't no fool. I'm not gonna eat no cake Uncle makes for me. But I had a plan. The ex's birthday was coming up, and I told her i was bringing her a cake. This was a perfect plan. My being nice to the ex totally confused her and out her on edge all week. And if the cake was tainted, well it was a win-win either way.]

So regretfully, Uncle agreed to bring me a cake. He would come in disguise, again with the witness protection excuse.
Now, he claims he delivered it, but I claim I never received it and he still owes me one. What do you think? Anyways, I am off to the store for eggs and cake mix, and to the barn for rat droppings. The ex is expecting me.

Uncle delivering the cake...

Uncle Ernie, I worked an elk hunting camp in western MT. I sure could have used that Moose Turd Pie receipe  ;D  Nice pic of your rig. Looks a lot like mine.  ;)

Is that picture of Off road satisfactory?

Its kinda off road in so much as the wheels are not quite on the tarmac.

1952 BMW R67/2 with factory installed sidecar gearing and colour-matched Spezial.  A former German police bike, engine restored.  This picture is some years old.
That rig went everywhere I wanted to go.  That was a ride from San Francisco to Stevensville Montana.
