Title: at altitude
Post by: .577 Snider on July 28, 2014, 08:18:16 pm
Went for a ride yesterday and was curious about  performance at high altitude.
Went up Mt. Evans and I should't have worried, the engine didn't miss a beat. But at over 14000 ft. the view wasn't the only thing that was breathless.

Nice!  I love Mt Evans!  I was up there last week fishing Echo Lake.  OK so technically fishing at the bottom of Mt Evans.  ;D

Great, but I'm tied up at work this weekend. But if you get something planned later in Aug., I should like to tag along.

When I talk to people who have never left Rhode Island about mountains I get vacuous stares. I feel like a stranger in a strange land.

Just as an addenda, got caught in todays deluge in Denver riding home. The Colorado monsoon season this year is just lasting forever! I don't think I'd want to be up in the mountains  riding today. I'm still riding the original Speedmaster and Skidmaster tires.
