Hi, looking to upgrade the shocks on my 350 Reborn ....the ride is a bit hard on my old back...has no free sag and 27mm static sag...preload on lowest setting and I weigh 97 kg so i am guessing the springs are designed to carry a heavy load and to handle some potholes .... also looking for some general torque settings ...engine to frame... shock absorbers ect. Any suggestions as to which shock absorbers to fit.... greatly appreciated .

Refer back to the "torque values master sheet" thread for the service manual. Hitchcock's has quite a variety of shocks for the Meteor, but I have not seen any threads yet where members have opted for something different.

I found the ride a bit too "solid" over bumps initially, but after 1,000 km, it seems to be softening up a bit. I'm about 50 pounds lighter than you and have the shocks on their lowest setting as well. Have you tried bumping it up a notch or two?

Yeah thanks Dexter ,I have tried an extra notch or 2 but to no avail I am going to see a suspension  guru this week ...Ride Dynamics  ... situated in Yatala Queensland..he has told me by phone he is considering IKON shock absorbers made here in Australia I think..... he is 200 km away so hopefully he gets it right first go. Thanks for the heads up on the torque sheet I will check it out shortly.

The link in that torque values thread is a link to the RE Meteor Service Manual. It is in PDF form. Click on the PDF icon found at that link and wait for the manual to download. It is BIG and might take a while.

Once you have the manual loaded, you can browse your way through 744 pages to find the specific values you need. The index is helpful to locate the pertinent sections quickly.

This manual is not supposed to be available to the public. RE refuses to sell it outside the dealership network, so when some unknown person got hold of a copy, it was placed on a safe Russian website as a PDF for all to access. Several people here have downloaded it safely. You probably have to disable your virus software to access it.

I had the same problem as I am on the light side. I have fitted Hagon shocks which they make to order based on your weight, not too expensive at £170 uk. The bike does ride better but still not the softest ride I have experienced.

Yeah  Helicop, .. I had the rear shocks dismantled today by a well regarded specialist and he took all the specifications and has passed them on to IKON Suspensions....used to be Koni i believe.... they are going to custom make shock absorbers for me ... these are the first one's they have made for the Classic 350 Reborn and they will be using them as a template for future orders..... so fingers crossed...$770... I should have them within the next fortnight... I'll put an update on the forum to let everyone know how they went..👍

Hagon 2810S are a significant upgrade for not so much $, but not sure how much they are in your country.
