How difficult would it be to add a "like" feature to this forum? I spend a lot of time on Adventure Rider and when they first added a like button for peoples posts it seemed like something I wouldn't use but I quickly found it was a nice way to acknowledge someones contribution or thoughts when it did not necessarily call for a worded response.

From experience, I'd say a lot of our membership would make quite a bit more use of "dislike" button.

In fact, I'd say that this forum could easily roster up two full chapters of  the international association for like minded individuals, the Geriatric Riders United Motorcycle Preservationists of Yesteryear, ... G.R.U.M.P.Y.

I think that a 'dislike' button would be unnecessarily hostile - if you do not want to read, comment on or learn from an item that someone has gone to the trouble of writing, photographing or researching, then do not do so.  No one will miss your negative contribution.

If there were to be such a button for those who feel the need of it, perhaps it should also include their 'nom de plume' for all to see, effectively deterring the all-too-common keyboard warriors that seem to populate what are supposed to be friendly forums for people with a genuine interest in the hobby.

An agree button might be nice when technical subjects are discussed.
If someone responds with a perfect answer, others can just confirm it without posting.
