The factory RE oil filter kit (filter, o rings, copper washers), Iv noticed several times in the past that the oil filter that RE uses for the 535 UCE engine, the filter has stamped on the filter housing a Purolator part number.

Has anyone ever Cross-referenced this part number to a filter that can be easily found at a local O’Reillys, NAPA, Auto Zone parts house?

There is no cross reference number. RE had them made by Puralator, I presume in India. It is a bespoke RE part. Only RE sells them, the real ones that is. Out of India you might be able to find some fake OEMs.

It's also a topic that's been done to death, if one could be bothered using the search function.

Great, thx. :)
Teaching a pig how to fly is counterproductive and most of the time it results in a pissed-off pig.
