I've been looking at Bridgestone T32 tires, full on radials and come in 110/80 f and 140/70 r. I wouldn't want to go much larger than those sizes. Supposedly very good sport touring tires with excellent wet weather traction. The reviews all seem to rate it pretty highly, and the reviews are uniformly positive.

The rear is available in a V rating. While the front is available in both a V and W rating. However V is out of stock everywhere. According to tire websites, the W probably would have a softer compound to stick better with a slightly stiffer carcass to handle the extra speed. Not that I'm ever going to see either 149 or 168 mph.

My question is this, is it ok to have a W front and a V rear, or should I stick with V on both ends?

V rating is up to 148mph, W is up to 168mph. Don't mix and match if your RE 650 is going to go faster than 148mph

Well, of course we all know that the RE will not be seeing those speeds. So my question still stands, at the moderate speeds that the bike can realistically attain, how about then?

The only difference in mixing V and W tyres will be the extra cost of the W rating, just stick with V rated, you would never notice any difference in tyre performance.

Not quite the same thing...tiger sport with Pirelli st (sport tourer) front and gt (grand tourer) rear. So different applications. Really good combo.
