I’d rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy...

Geez, bein' a bit hard on a bloke over a few full stops and some other little dotty things on a page.  gawd help someone who wears the wrong colored tie to the pub.

Indeed. But things get misinterpreted without them...

That only applies to the uncouth and those lacking culture. Cultured people would not use the term "jack off" a horse but the correct "help your uncle Jack Masturbate a horse".  :)

I once, in my youth, won the moment in a potential job termination , due to my alleged anti- company attitude, merely by cocking an eyebrow at my national manager to my state manager’s use of the word ‘Pacific’ in lieu of ‘Specific’.
Very expressive thing, an eyebrow.

Ha yes, or a "look". Safe in an unfair dismissal action though. Hard to defend a dismissal action on a raised eyebrow, lol.

Goodness me. If I were your boss, I would've gotten back up on my pedal stool and fired you without further adieu.

Gotta say, it was a great moment. Put the prick right in his place, then and in subsequent‘interactions’..
He never quite made it back onto his pedal stool.😁

All jibes aside, and even though it's probably a bit early yet, assuming it's already back at the dealership, I think we'd all be curious to learn what they claim the problem was. Statistically there's little doubt the vast majority of those 650s live joyfully trouble-free lives. Yet there have been enough of these just-dying-by-the-side-of-the-road episodes described in this Forum to have become noticeably embarrassing for a brand that had clearly hoped this new generation of bikes might help shed that "Unreliable Enfield" reputation.
So badass my Enfield's actually illegal  in India. Yet it squeaks by here in Virginia.

Not quite as bad as the stuck accelerator pedal or ignition key turning to off position that some car makers had to tip-toe around.

So what did the mech man find?  Keen to know if it's something that can be fixed with a bit of preventative maintenance at home. 32 years of riding and never had a bike just die out and I'm not keen on starting now.

Refer to post #40 and when you work it out; let us know.
