I've just tried to buy a set of Fork Gaiters from an Indian seller and keep getting a message saying due to Covid-19 shipments are being blocked from India, has anyone else had this issue? I'm just wondering if it's because of the new Delta Variant are certain shipments being blocked?

I believe that is an accurate response from your vendor.  I wanted a spare valve-cover o-ring and ordered it 8 weeks ago.  I just heard from the vendor that it's been shipped.  In many cases, items from India come with free shipping.  This is a big dollar advantage for the buyer, but slow delivery is often the "price to be paid" for free shipping.  I don't mind that at all.  One of my friends, who is from India and a participant in this forum, confirmed that the China Virus has been decimating individuals and commerce in India.

I think we need to afford a "pass" for Indian vendors of parts and accessories for our Royal Enfield motorcycles.

my 2 cents worth.

I ordered a seat on June 7 and was given an arrival date no later than July 30. I thought 7 weeks seemed a bit long, but it only actually took 1 week, arriving June 14.

There is no air freight shipping out of India, and its gonna be a huge backlog when it starts up again... The after market parts I have on order for the 650 are an unknown and the parts for my classic from the dealer are at least 3 months away....
Drink now....avoid the Xmas rush.
greetings from Brisbane, Australia

Some shipments are getting out. It may have to do with where they're from.  Lockdown may be stricter in some areas, would be my guess. My item came in a week, a few other inquiries informed me they couldn't do it

An order I placed two weeks ago arrived in Arizona in five days.  I believe it was shipped from Delhi

I've never had issues with Indian eBay merchants (notably Enfield County) with a little patience, but my few orders were pre-Covid. I have, however, had occasional problems with Chinese vendors, either sending defective items or presumably sending nothing at all. The nanosecond the estimated shipping date has passed, file a claim through eBay. Do not cancel that claim at the vendor's request. I have never failed to get my money refunded by eBay/PayPal.

Then again, I'm astonished anything
makes it here from India. For a good look at an Indian shipping agent, check out Ed March's C90 Adventures  episode on India at https://youtu.be/mPne-q4ynts. The shipping agent is shown at about 8:50.
So badass my Enfield's actually illegal  in India. Yet it squeaks by here in Virginia.

2 different sellers. 1x small flyscreen and 1x fork gators, both took a fair while but turned up and all good.
