"Which begs the question  .  .  . why is he selling it? Unhappy with some aspect of it? Enquiring minds need to know."
Our friend who asked the question is still a "pending" RE owner, according to his signature, so that makes his question more understandable. "Am I about to make a huge mistake?" "Is that pretty woman who just flirted with me actually a serial killer?" I'm totally guessing but it might just be a nervous tic.  8)

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. A new bike in these parts starts at $5800. Add taxes and fees and you are looking at well over $7000.

BINGO!

If you want to know his reason email him and ask him. No one here knows what is on the seller's mind.

Oh yeah! Moving up to a twin was a big step, but I couldn't afford the 305 Hawk or the Black Bomber CB450, which was THE Honda big boy of the day. Back then, the Honda dealer was little more than a lawnmower repair shop that sold bikes on the side in a little shack of a building with a tin roof and I would go there and gaze with desire at those three, big to me, black twins they had on the floor.

Just like doing your first solo in an aircraft, you never forget your very first ride on a motorcycle, the 65 Sport in my case. I don't remember my first ride on the 160 though. Where have the years gone!?

Where in Charleetho's posts on page one of this thread is the question why is he selling it answered?

Post #5 - The guy is a friend/co-worker of the seller. Maybe he might have some idea why he is selling it?

Post #5 "I know the owner of that bike. He is a fellow MSF RiderCoach. Great guy."

Nothing about the reason,.

"Enquiring minds need to know but don't".

In case you don't know how to use Craigslist here is the seller's email address so you can ask him why he is selling...

C'mon man! Can't you read, or do you just like hasslin' me on every effin' post I make? I never said Charleetho mentioned a reason! That's why I asked him the damn question in the first place!

Now that I know how to ignore posts, yours are gone!

This is a sale by owner Interceptor located about half way between Portland, OR and San Francisco.
Seems well appointed and fairly priced.
