Totally pointless.

Ciao
I’d be concerned that the probe would vibrate off and fall in/ get mashed into something…
I’d rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy...

It's just a piece of useless bling for the navel gazers. What possible utility does it have apart from another thing to fail. Guzzi people fit oil pressure gauges, why? Just another thing to sweat over and sweat about every psi change they do.

Hey gss
Its the stainless version, from Hitchcock's.  Over priced, unnecessary....but looks good.  Fits OK, perhaps a little more gap at the rear. Doesn't fit the brace as perfect as the plastic one, otherwise matches the polished forks and chrome tank nicely.

The lettering IS easy.  Duplicolor have 2 different lots of advice for using the paint..one said wait 5 mins between coats, the other 20.  I did the 5 mins wait, but now would do about 15 to 20 wait to let the paint set more.  after 5 mins it was really tacky and hard to recoat smoothly.  in fact if you get really close, its not a real smooth finish.  I used a square tip brush about 4mm wide.  I started to polish off the paint with 2500 grit, waste of time.  didn't budge it.  So instead of cuttin corners, just followed Stews advice and it worked fine.  Hardest part?  Cleaning the lettering, tooth brush soapy water, brake cleaner and finally a sharp point with a cloth on the end to "dig" out the dirt remaining.  Took ages. For polishing, cordless drill with a soft buffing wheel (lazy option). A couple of rides later, no dramas at all.
I was wondering about spraying it and then simply wiping across it?

I have the same, but from  German manufacturer RR ( Motorsport Ries).
The same is on my Ducati Mille for years, this summer I noticed the Interceptor is running hotter than the Duc.
90 degrees Celcius for the Interceptor, the MHR hardly exceeds 80 degrees...
On both bikes it takes about 20-30km's to reach operating temps, though...!!

There is a vid of a bloke spray painting the letters. Guess a google search will find it for you  Seemed to work fine. You could use the brush and wipe off as you go as well. I just thought Stews results looked good so that's the way I went. All in all an easy project

The spray method is shown in one of the other threads.... painting is quicker, but lots of masking so........

You could fit ape hangers to your bike as well but it doesn't mean it's a good idea. A counterpoint of view is what actually makes forums useful as a source of technical information for those wanting to lean things. My opinions and experience are for those people, you know, the ones that actually rationalise things technically. It's not for the "bling merchants"

And as you KEEP reminding us your racing skill, knowledge, and aero engineering experience is SO VAST we should all bow to it....even when when it's about others people's  bikes NOT YOURS,  and at times in an insulting and belittling way,

Thank you! I almost purchased the stainless a few months ago, but held off as the rear one looked really large…..and it was as you state “overpriced and unnecessary”  :)

Will take another look as I just bought an unnecessary chrome fuel tank so that the original orange tank can take up scarce space in my garage :D

Whilst I would like the stainless rear, I will put some money toward the rear lights one of theses days.  I think I will paint the rear black, just to hide it a bit.  Next up is removing the tank badges and putting on black stickers, like the Mr Clean GT.

Hi
I fitted the cooperb fork adaptors off ebay to the top of the forks today .

Easy job and ive attached some photos , its far more comfy on the back now when riding .
All you do is take  off the top triple tree and headlight bolts ,move the clipons and refit .
Cheers
