Still rumored but looking pretty definitive. I am following this closely - would be a fun bike to pick up for my wife. Stay tuned!

Good question. I think it might but I don't have any inside info to validate that speculation. Just a hunch.

I see they're still shamelessly ripping off the "Fireball" moniker for a couple of variants of the new model...

So badass my Enfield's actually illegal  in India. Yet it squeaks by here in Virginia.

Noticed that also. Thinking was the Fireball was going to be a new model entirely, right? But now it's just a variant on the Meteor. Shame.

Shame? Apparently the Marketing Department at Royal Enfield has none...or enough imagination to coin their own damned name.

I think they're taking lessons from GM - the new Blazer is an abomination.

Arent they just referring to the color of the bike, not the model designation?

More the style than the color, but yes fundamentally you're right. The issue at hand is that there was talk/hope that the Fireball would be its own model. That appears not to be the case.

Hard to tell. At only 20.2HP for the new 350 motor I don’t see it coming here.  I hope I’m wrong.
REs I currently own:
2007 AVL Bullet Electra Gray
2010 Bullet G5 Deluxe Black
2017 535 GT Continental Red
2018 Himalayan White
2018 Pegasus Green
2024 650 Super Meteor Celestial Blue

Maybe it will. The Himalayan only has 24.5 HP. There's plenty of room in the market for low-HP bikes. Not suitable for our high-speed roadways, perhaps, but fine in the cities.

Have you seen the new Benelli Imperiale? It's a blatent Bullet rip-off as regards styling and virtually identical performance - and it produces only 21 BHP from a new design 400cc twin spark 4 valve head engine. It's effectively an even cheaper Bullet made in China.
Past: CB125-T2, T500, GT500, Speed Triple, 955i Daytona. Now: Royal Enfield Bullet Trials 500

There are a great many good (more or less) small bikes coming out of China, though it remains to be seen how good the quality control is over the long term. But it's definitely pushing the urban market. Will it change the pricing behavior of BMW, HD, Triumph? Not likely, but it may better segment the market and allow more new and returning riders to come to the fold. That's how I ended up with an Interceptor.

That's how I ended up with a Bullet Trials too! The sub 250cc market seems to be flooded with countless Chinese brands I've never heard, and some custom builders are starting to base bikes on cheap brand new Chinese 125cc engines. According to the review in the latest issue of Bike magazine the Benelli 'Bullet' copy appears to be of inferior quality build compared to RE - but you get what you pay for!
