It seems the forum has been chasing its fair share of noises recently. Well today I did a routine oil and filter change and took it around the neighborhood for a test ride. For some reason I forewent my usual earplugs and helmet. There were no unusual chatter from the valve train but there was an annoying occasional vibration at certain rpm's in second gear. It turned out to be the sealed beam headlamp I installed years ago per Mr. Singh's video. It was rattling away in its ring. I was shocked I found the source so easily. I better check the mounting clips. Always keep an open mind when chasing noises. They can show up in the strangest places. Always check the simple things. Just thought I'd share. I had an annoying rattle on my other bike, audible with ear plugs in. I couldn't trace it. Then I rode my Enfield and it was still there... was my helmet visor hinge.

Had a whistle from one side and couldn't work it out......air vent on helmet! more frustrating was a new "C"class in 97 (heap of shit! after 3 no problem 180's) anyway with dealer chased a rattle for 2yrs.....central locking receiver located in mirror 😣😣😣😣
